2) a higher wall cavity temperature resulting in increased drying capacity.

Field testing has also shown that insulated siding installed over a water resistant barrier and wood-based structural sheathing is capable of shedding bulk moisture sufficient to maintain dry conditions in the sheathing.”

This performance summary came as the result of a year-long research project at the Research Center’s outdoor testing facility.
